Xumo will launch new content discovery service

The International Consumer Electronics Show 2015 is underway and will run on up until Friday, January, 9th, 2015. It is being estimated that nearly 4,000 companies will be in attendance and exhibiting at various locations throughout the city of Las Vegas. One of the those companies will be the connected device and solutions provider, Xumo. The company says that they are using CES 2015 to launch their new Xumo Guide, which is being marketed as a content discovery and recommendation service and solution.

Xumo says that their Xumo Guide will come with Panasonic’s new 2015 4K Ultra HD television and other HD TV’s. The company also says that the Xumo Guide will come with other televisions in the future. The Xumo Guide is designed with a special algorithm that remembers viewing habits of consumers and delivers the recommendations to consumers in a way that is very efficient but at the same not trying to veer into the privacy of the consumer. Xumo Guide was made to be very simple and that is what Xumo engineers had in mind. Xumo CEO Colin Petrie-Norris says that his company found out that consumers were getting frustrated at all of the different controllers and set top boxes that came with their television sets and it made it harder to change channels and such. The Xumo Guide is out to end that frustration.

What Xumo and the Xumo Guide does is connect consumers directly with the owners and distributors of content directly. Other system programming and design will allow for people to watch exactly what they want to watch and when they want to watch it. It is basically connecting the consumer with the producer of high quality programming. It is a certain win-win situation. Most importantly, the Xumo Guide is all about having a pleasant experience in watching the television.
