Apple details out-of-warranty repair costs for the iPhone 6 family

Apple has very quietly announced the out-of-warranty repair costs for the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus and these charges have been categorized into three different parts including screen damage, battery and power, and other repairs.

Beginning with the screen, it is going to cost you $109 if you decide to get your display replaced for the iPhone 6 and for the iPhone 6 Plus the display replacement is going to cost you $129. If we can recall, the replacements for all the models of the iPhone 5 cost as much as the cost for the 5.5 inch version and this has certainly triggered our curiosity. These charges also include $6.95 shipping fee and local taxes. Moving on the battery, the replacement is going to set you back by $79 plus shipping and tax. The good news is that you wont be needing to use this card for a very long time after getting your phone since Apple’s standard one-year warranty covers the replacement of a defective battery.

Till now you might have not thought that getting things replaced for the iPhone 6 is expensive but wait till you get to the other section of things. This section includes all other components which are not related to the screen or the battery. As far as the other repairs are concerned, AppleCare+ covers two instances of accidental damage for $79 each.
