Apple iPad Event Live Online Stream Started

The new Apple event is here. Starting at 10am PDT, Apple will unveil the new iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini 3. This is 100% confirmed as Apple had a little snafu yesterday leaking screenshots of the manuals for the new iPads on iTunes.

The new iPads will have Touch ID, which enables them to be used for Apple Pay. Apple Pay is likely launching on the weekend after the event. We expect Apple to announce that as well.

Besides the new iPads, Apple is expected to reveal a new iMac with Retina Display and give the details of OS X Yosemite release.

You can watch the live video stream from the Apple Event on Apple.com.

The Live streaming video of the iPad event requires Safari 5.1.10 or later on OS X v10.6.8 or later; Safari on iOS 6.0 or later. Streaming via Apple TV requires second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 6.2 or later.

Let’s hope that this time Apple is able to handle the live stream and actually deliver a working stream. The iPhone 6 event online stream was a total disaster. Not only did the stream fail and had for a long time Chinese translation audio, also the Apple.com site failed. Apple cannot afford another fiasco like last time. The world and Samsung made fun of their failure to stream an event live online.

To sum it up. Apple is expected to reveal today the new iPad Air 2 and new iPad mini 3. Apple is also expected to reveal an iMac with Retina Display and possibly also a Retina MacBook Air. Apple is also expected to reveal the release details of OS X Yosemite. You can watch the Apple iPad Oct. 16 Event live online in a video stream.
