Researchers are still concerned, but Apple has certainly made improvements
Apple Takes The Next Step In Protecting Customers
The security of Apple devices has been in the minds of millions of users who enjoy their products. At the end of the day, there is no denying that Apple’s phones are some of the most secure on the market, although many researchers are still concerned about even the latest innovations that they have headed.
The latest change to iOS comes in the form of a passcode lock in iOS 8 that stops Apple from being able to access your data and they cannot even do so at the request of police officials. According to Vladimir Katalov, the chief exec of a forensics firm known as ElcomSoft, there is still a large gap that allows search warrant carrying police to access iCloud backups, which includes almost all of your information that is found on your phone.
The report from the firm says that Apple can pull out certain categories of data from users even when they have a passcode locked iOS device. With a search warrant, they will be able to extract text messages, photos, videos, recordings, call history, and more, although they will not have the ability to extract emails or third party app data.
Even if this still leaves customers open to one kind of police search, it is hard to say that Apple isn’t doing a lot to protect security concerns of their customers. Group after group has commended them on their work and compared to Android phones you will be hard pressed to find something more secure.

The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
