The U20 and SDA04PX are OEM Fingerprint Sensors which are going to be introduced by SecuGen at the CES 2015 just like the many other companies that will exhibit their new technology.

SecuGen Corporation has announced its plans for the CES 2015 in Las Vegas. The company has announced the release of its new OEM Fingerprint Sensors at the electronics show. The sensors are claimed to be low in cost and high in quality by SecuGen. The U20 is ultra-compact while the SDA04PX is a serial interface.

The U20 USB fingerprint sensor is both FAP 20 Mobile ID and PIV certified by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Moreover the U20 has been added to the FIPS 201/PIV Approved Products List by the General Services Administration. The SDA04PX fingerprint sensor has been made for those situations where a host USB port is not available and this is quite a relief for many people.

The SDA04PX fingerprint senor connects to a system via a serial interface. This sensor is fast, has a high storage capacity of up to 10,000 fingerprint templates and is very easy to integrate which basically means it has everything that a perfect fingerprint sensor should have.

The products created by SecuGen are renowned for capturing high quality images, being very rugged as well as being affordable for use in large deployments. The small and compact size of the U20 will allow it to be integrated into hardware products where space is at a premium such as handheld devices.

Moreover the SDA04PX can be integrated with hardware products requiring the use of a serial interface. The sensor can match, register, and store fingerprints on its own and is available at a lower price than the other SecuGen OEM sensors.

The vice president of Engineering for SecuGen, Dan Riley said that fingerprint sensors are being used in many different and diversified places and environments. So they must be able to capture great images without any degradation. He said that the company was very excited about the two new OEM sensors and the high quality devices in a variety of form factors.
