Dakota Johnson Parents in Conflict Due to Her Character in Fifty Shades

Dakota Johnson is set to star in Fifty Shades of Grey. However, her role in the film has not gone down well with her parents. This is because the movie is so explicit with so many sex scenes and therefore her parents can not stand seeing their kid being screwed on the screen.

The actress must be up to the task because everyone knows what to expect from any movie that is based on novels authored by E.L. James. Though what is seen on the screen is far from the real thing, it’s obvious that she knew what she was getting herself into. Inquisitr has reported that her parents are split between agreeing with her and shunning away from her new project.

From another perspective, her parents should be the first people to understand because they are in the same industry. Johnson’s mother Melanie Griffith, actually features in Working Girl while her father, Don Johnson features in Miami Vice and so it should not be hard for them to appreciate her for her role.

Dakota had earlier declared that her parents will be the last people to watch the film. At such a point, she might have felt guilty for starring in a film that is not family friendly. It’s only later that she gave her mom the green light to watch the film. Griffith had actually offered to support her daughter but Dakota was probably still thinking about how she would be regarded by her family.
