Jameis Winston will sit Tonight

It is definitely bad news for all the fans of Jameis Winston. They will not see their favorite player in action tonight. Florida State University Seminoles announced late last night that quarterback, Jameis Winston, is going to be suspended for the entire game against Clemson.

Jameis Winston is star college footballer who had won the Heisman Trophy as a quarterback. 20-year-old Winston was first suspended for the first half of tonight’s game due to misbehavior.

Actually the star player of college yelled a bad phrase in front of the student union inside university campus after standing on a table. Many students saw this incident which happened on Tuesday.

University officials took notice of the incident. They decided to punish him for his misbehavior. On the very next day, the officials announced the suspension of Jameis Winston for the fist half of Saturday night’s game of Seminoles vs. Clemson.

However, Jameis Winston apologized for his bad behavior on the same day. Just hours after the announcement of his suspension on Wednesday afternoon, Winston released an apology statement.

“First of all I want to apologize to the university, to my coaches and to my teammates,” Winston said. “I’m not a ‘me’ person, but in that situation it was a selfish act and that’s not how you do things around here. I really want to apologize to my teammates, because I’ve now made a selfish act on their behalf.”

However, the University did not stop the investigation of the incident. Last night, Garnett Stokes, Interim President of Florida State, and Stan Wilcox, the Athletic Director, announced Winston’s suspension for the whole game.

“Based upon the results of our continuing investigation of Tuesday’s incident involving Jameis Winston, we have decided not to allow him to play for the entire game against Clemson on Saturday night,” went the announcement.

Sean Maguire is the new man who will stand in the place of the quarterback. He will replace Winston in tonight’s game. It will be a big game for Maguire as it will be the debut of his career as a college footballer.
