Rihanna becomes First Black Face Of Dior

Rihanna has reportedly signed for Dior and she will be in their next Dior Secret Garden video as a director leaked the news on Facebook.

A New York producer has leaked the news that Rihanna will be the new face of Dior. Rihanna along with her team had been working hard for the past two days filming for the new commercial. 

Rihanna will be replacing Charlize Theron as the new face of Dior. Charlize Theron had first signed for Dior in 2004 and now it seems like the brand want to have a young face for the ads. 

The producer even took some photos from the set and he tagged Rihanna in his Facebook post, according to Daily Star. So for the first time ever a black woman will be fronting a luxury brand. 

The commercial is being shot in the Palace of Versailles’ Hall of Mirrors. And in the commercial we will see the singer wearing a silver sequin dress. This commercial will be the fourth episode of Dior’s “Secret Garden” video series, reported WWD.

Rihanna looks committed to this project as she spent 10 hours filming on the first day. The shoot was so intense that the crew were forced to take a break after eight hours. The insider wrote about this ad and they said that this shoot will be absolutely amazing. The said that it is just the beginning.

Rihanna has been wearing the Dior brand for quite some time now. She wore the brand on three of her recent W mag covers. She also wore the brand on the April’s issue of Bazaar in China. In the last Dior ad we saw beautiful models running the gardens.

The video is on Dior’s official YouTube channel and it received 9 million hits. This time around Rihanna will also be a part of that Secret Garden. The fourth episode of Dior’s Secret Garden video will be a great one. This week the film and print campaign were shot by Steven Klein.
