Taylor Swift put her entire music collection on the streaming site TIDAL which was recently bought by Jay-Z.

Taylor Swift has been very vocal about the modern day propagation of music. Streaming, according to Swift is damaging to the artists. Nowadays there is rarely an artist who sells a platinum or gold. It has become all about streaming. She even wrote a piece about her opinions in Wall Street Journal.

She resounded that she was underpaid for every stream on the No. 1 streaming site, Spotify and although the Spotify CEO Daniel Ek said that they have paid billions put of millions of their customers to the stars, they say it like they haven’t even seen the money. According to Ek, any star claiming to have been cheated out of their money by the streaming site is being dramatic.

When it’s Taylor Swift who has sold millions of albums in consecutive years, money can rarely be thought as the root cause of her problem. She is worried about the distribution of her music as well as others. This can be considered a more of a philanthropic step for artists who work so hard and still remain underpaid for their efforts.

Taylor has the right arsenal to pull of her claims as well. She took off her entire music work off from Spotify. Spotify no longer has the rights to stream any of Taylor’s music. Taylor has put her faith in a more artist oriented streaming website.

TIDAL bought by Jay Z through his S. Carter Enterprises for $50.6 million is the new hub for Taylor’s music, released and exclusive, according to Billboard. The seven day trial for the site ends in $19.99 per month and offers high definition music and HD music videos.

Taylor has also put her work on Rhapsody, sites she believe are fair to the artists in streaming their music. Other artists on TIDAL include Kendrick La/3/with his album ‘To Pimp a Butterfly’ and Modest Mouse’s album ‘Strangers to Ourselves’.
