  • Dating Naked and Extreme Makeover producer Howard Schultz dies at the age of 61 while on a vacation.

Howard Schultz lost consciousness and after failed attempts to resuscitate him, he was declared dead on the spot.

Extreme Makeover producer Howard Schultz won two local Emmys before heading down to California and worked there as an executive producer for various shows. He then worked under Fox on producing the reality dating show Studs.

Howard thought he had gained enough experience then and left the network to start his own company by the name of Lighthearted, the name according to him was inspired by his favorite song “I Forgot That Love Existed” by Van Morrison.

His first endeavor was the reality show, Real People which featured a group of people with different hobbies and profiles. The show wasn’t a success but it earned him a good repute.

His biggest hit has to be his reality show on ABC channel, Extreme Makeover which started in 2002 and got cancelled in 2007 but it became the name to identify Schultz with.

His other shows include, ‘The Moment of Truth,’ ‘The Big Date’ and ‘SexWars.’ His latest hit was the reality show series “Dating Naked” on VH1 which grabbed a lot of attention and media gossip.

In his 30 years plus career, Schultz did a lot of hard work to make every show a hit and finally decided it was a break when he put both his VPs, Rob LaPlante and Jeff Spangler in charge because he needed a well deserved break.

Howard Schultz went on a vacation with his family. They were on the island of Maui where the 61 years old producer lost consciousness and fell. The passer-bys tried to administer CPR and revive him but it was to no avail and he was declared dead on the spot.

Further investigations will be made, for sure but the great guy is no more. Howard Schultz’s publicist Zach Rosenfield confirmed his death to the media.
