Maggie however spoke of how she was herself once on the receiving end of stalking. Today when she recalls the experience she says it is frightening and very scary.

The series Stalker recounts the LAPD sleuths and how they pursue all sorts of psycho stalkers. Maggie especially pointed out the fact that most of the stalkers in the world were mentally ill.

That is a sensitive point that needs to be conveyed to the audience. They need psychological and psychiatric help. Maggie was shocked to learn that a great many people who led lonely lives were suffering from this affliction.

And while celebs were sometimes the target of stalkers, most of them would choose an ordinary person instead (in fact in nine out of ten cases this was what normally occurred).

Maggie had only kind words for her costar Dylan McDermott. Maggie Q said that the “Q” in her name stood for Quigley. Since it was a pain in the tongue to pronounce, she had it foreshortened to Q.

She lived most of her life in Hawaii and has full respect for the diversity and racial equality found in the Aloha State. But when she shifted to mainland America, the discrimination got to her.

She almost couldn’t understand why some white folks were so standoffish and aloof. Maggie who plays Lieutenant Beth Davis on Stalker furthermore said that social media was responsible for much of the stalker phenomenon.

She was very careful what she posted online, since anyone might take offence and pursue the person responsible for the comments in the real world. And women were the major target of stalkers since they often didn’t react or fight back like their male counterparts.

However, in today’s world even males could become victims of stalkers since it was a complex society we are living in.
