Tony Stewart and Brad Keselowski fined for After-Race Behavior

Their behavioral repertoire was inexcusable and so the two were heavily penalized. NASCAR racers, Tony Stewart and Brad Keselowski, were awarded fines and told to cool off for a while till they rectified the attitude problems that they had in plenty. Their after-race acts were the real issue for which sanctions were imposed on them.

Keselowski was awarded a $50,000 fine and given a probationary period till the end of the next four races. Stewart meanwhile got awarded a fine amounting to $25,000 and was given probation of the same duration as his partner in wrongdoing.

The laws of locomotion said so and so they were applied to the two. Any acts that were ultra vires to stock car racing and involved behavioral infarctions in after-race events were the special case here.

Keselowski had struck Denny Hemlin’s car’s back side while he also chipped Matt Kenseth’s vehicle. This was after Kenseth had stopped taking any precautionary measures. Stewart meanwhile had also been stuck amidst the ruckus.

When Keselowski got out of his car he was booed by members of Hemlin’s and Kenseth’s teams. Then a retaliatory fight ensued between Keselowski and Kenseth. Hemlin and Kenseth got off scot-free.

Keselowski later on spoke of how he was angry at Kenseth due to his responses on the race track. Kenseth had hit his car several times before and even damaged it pretty badly.

Moreover, his attitude was not very conducive to a rapprochement. Keselowski said that while they were very quick to take offense, when they got a taste of their own medicine they couldn’t take it on the chin like real men.

Tony Stewart on the other hand had a lesser role in the fracas that had ensued. But what lies in wait for Stewart is a legal suit. His car’s collision with that of Kevin Ward Jr. and Ward’s subsequent death from injuries incurred by the tragic accident has not been forgotten by his family.

They want to press charges against Stewart. And though Stewart was cleared of charges awhile back, Ward’s family wants to carry on the litigation process. They claim that Stewart is a reckless driver who unnecessarily endangered their family member and it was due to his carelessness that Ward had lost his life.
