iPhone 6 and 6 Plus ship times drop to one day

Apple appears to be catching up with demand for its latest devices

Looks like Apple has been doing everything in its powers to make sure that its customers don’t get disturbed from the evident iPhone 6 Plus shortage with a surge in demand which had already been expected. Recently the company has updated its online storefront to check on the iPhone 6 Plus shipping estimates of one day for 16GB and 64GB models in all three colors and major U.S. wireless carriers AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile. Apple has geared up for the issue and it has been revealed that the ship-by times for iPhone 6 models in the same capacities also dropped to 1 to 3 days.

The higher capacity 128GB versions of the iPhone 6 Plus are now becoming easily available now with a promised period of 3 to 5 business days. The iPhone 6 version of the same capacity seems to be having a little trouble and for all the color options it is showing 7 to 10 days. It is not just the online supply which seems to have improved but the availability of the latest iPhone is also improving in the brick and mortar stores as some of them are offering same-day in-store pickup for a majority of both iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models including the 128 GB one.

It seems like Apple has making some good progress in delivering what the customers have asked for but the results of the availability analysis of the iPhone 6 and the 6 Plus have been rather surprising because the supply checks carried out earlier this month showed much slower ship times for Apple’s large-format device. The analysts had initially predicted slower lead times on pent up demand for an Apple phablet but a November report shows that the iPhone 6 sell through outpaced that of its larger sibling three-to-one.
