Obamacare enrollments exceed the 6 million mark!

The numbers of Americans who have signed up for Obamacare is now more than 6 million. Obamacare which is President Obama’s private health insurance plan under the Affordable Care Act has been a massive success with the American population. The announcement was recently made at the White House to testify this success. It was initially expected that 7 billion people would enroll in Obamacare, but after the devastating rollout of the federal web page: HealthCare.gov, estimates were revised to 6 billion.

The new number was shared by President Obama by way of a conference call with thousands of web navigators at the Health Care system. There are also many volunteers who are helping with the enrollment process and Obama addressed them as well to encourage them to increase their efforts considerably. Similarly in order to view the details of Obamacare, there have been around 1.5 million visits to the website as well as approximately 430,000 calls to the federal call centres as reported by officials.

Marilyn Tavenner who is the head of the Centres of Medicare and Medicaid Services commented that they are witnessing near “record numbers” of people enrolling in Obamacare. The final number of people who have signed up for Obamacare will be made available later than next month as the administration is providing an extension to those who were unable to enroll before the March 31deadline.

Similarly it is not certain that all those who signed up for Obamacare will actually pay for the plans. However despite this large figure, Marsha Blackburn provides another side of the picture. She claims that the administration has fallen a million short of their initial target and this depicts not only its incompetence but also the fact that many Americans have been stripped off the right to accessing their trusted doctors and are charged a higher premium.

Despite this it is evident that many Americans wish to attain medical insurance under the law. Obamacare does have room for the plan to offer cheaper plans which /4/seem attractive to those previously apprehensive about the plan.
